How We Do Things
As a responsible Dog Breeder, we carefully screen potential owners to make sure they understand exactly what is required when it comes to taking care of a German Shepherd dog. Please note, we offer our pets on a first come first serve basis. Pricing may vary depending upon which Dam (female) is the mother, pedigree, color and coat type etc . Call 317 362-6683 for current litter information and prices. A deposit is required for reservation of a puppy. Once deposit payment is made you will be the next in line for your pick of a male or female from that litter. Your deposit can be made in person , by personal check or money order mailed to us at 8174 Spearsville Rd Morgantown, Indiana 46160. If mailed , please include a separate piece of paper with the full legal name of the person(s) that will be registering the puppy, current address, phone number and email address .You can also use CashApp or Venmo. I will need you to text me the personal information i mentioned above for ourakc records. Your purchase price includes a health exam by a licensed veterinarian, up to date on all shots and deworming, a copy of their AKC litter certificate/3 generation pedigree, a copy of both parents 5 generation pedigree, a 14 day health guarantee, 30 days of free pet insurance, AKC registration paperwork and an AKC puppy packet with information on the care of your puppy and AKC programs and benefits . For final payment when you pick up your puppy either cash, CashApp or Venmo is required. We can not accept personal checks or money orders for final payment. We are currently accepting deposits on future litters. Contact us with any questions you may have , to put down a deposit to reserve a puppy from a future litter or to schedule an appointment.

Schaffer's German Shepherds of Brown County Indiana is a small family owned and orientated breeder nestled in the rolling hills of beautiful Brown County Indiana on Emerald Acres. We focus on quality over quantity and our German Shepherds are members of the family and live with us in our home not in a kennel. They are our "children" and their puppies are our "grandchildren ". Our puppies are raised indoors in our clean , climate controlled facilities and we take the utmost care to ensure their health , safety and comfort . Our main priority is ensuring the health and well-being of all our animals from birth until they leave with their forever family - and beyond.

Freya is a gorgeous long coat Red Sable with a truly world class pedigree. Her Grandsire 2xVA1 World Seiger Remo Vom Fitchenschlag was the #1 German Shepherd two years in a row. Her Sire , Shuman de le Madonina is a 2x PRM. Her other Grandsire Yasko Von Farbenspeil is also a 2xVA1 and almost every dog in her extended pedigree is a European champion or titled. She is low drive , incredibly intelligent , very affectionate and a gentle giant. We expect her puppies to be excellent candidates for service dog training . they will likely have a very good "off switch" and be perfect for less active customers or older customers who want a mellow German Shepherd. Puppies from Freyja are $1500.00 . A deposit of $500.00 is required to reserve a puppy from her.

Schaffer's Valkyrie Valhalla is a gorgeous Black Sable with high drive, great nose , highly intelligent and her pedigree is amazing with 4 world champions and most of the dogs in her extended pedigree are titled or European champions . We expect her to produce stunningly beautiful puppies with most of the being medium to high drive and very intelligent, trainable and loving. Puppies from Valkyrie are $1500.00 . A deposit of $500.00 is required to reserve a puppy from one of her litters.

Shadowmere is a gorgeous Solid Black long coat with an amazing world class pedigree. She has several European champions and dozens of titled dogs in her extended pedigree. She is sharp as a tack and always willing to please. She's very affectionate. Puppies from her will be extremely intelligent and trainable. she is capable of producing solid Black puppies as well as other colors . Puppies from Shadowmere are $1500.00. A deposit of $500.00 is required to reserve a puppy from one of her litters.

Schaffer's Mystic Voodoo
Mystic is a rare Silver Sable Saddleback. She is a stock (short) coat and of medium drive. She is extremely loyal , a bit of an Alpha personality, very affectionate, loves to please and a very attentive mother. Her puppies are typically a mix of Silver Sables , Black and Tans or Black and Silvers. She has absolutely gorgeous puppies regardless of their color. She can possibly have solid White as well but hasn't yet. She has a good pedigree with some titled dogs in it. Mystic's puppies are $1400.00 . A deposit of $500.00 is required to reserve one of her puppies.

We want to make sure you are completely satisfied by your choice . All of our puppies come with full AKC registration rights and vet certified. They undergo a wellness exam, have all the required vaccinations, dewormed and come with a personal medical record booklet.

We expect a large litter and there should be some solid Black puppies as well as several Black sables. These puppies will come with full AKC registration rights, first round of shots, dewormed several times and health exam by a licensed veterinarian. The price is $1500.00.
